Fabergé’s Peacock egg, 1908. The peacock is a mechanical wind-up toy that struts around, moving its head and opening and closing its tail. It took three years to design.
Fabergé’s Trans-Siberian Railway egg, 1900. It contains a miniature clockwork wind-up replica of a train made of gold and platinum, with diamond headlights and ruby marker lights.
